Lattafa perfumes: the most popular scents and how to choose

Lattafa is one of the most searched-for perfume houses in Greece. Rich compositions, long wear and accessible prices have made it the first stop for anyone discovering Arabian perfumes. With hundreds of scents, though, choosing is not always easy. This guide covers the most popular Lattafa perfumes, what each one smells like and how to pick.

About Lattafa

Lattafa Perfumes is a house from the United Arab Emirates. It blends the traditions of Arabian perfumery (oud, amber, musk, spices) with modern sweet and fruity notes. Most of its perfumes come as 100 ml Eau de Parfum, and Maison Alhambra belongs to the same family. See the full range on our Lattafa perfumes page.

The most popular Lattafa perfumes

Khamrah: the warm, sweet signature

Lattafa Khamrah is probably the house's best-known scent. It opens with cinnamon, nutmeg and bergamot, moves to dates, praline and tuberose, and settles into vanilla, tonka, myrrh and benzoin. It is unisex and made for autumn and winter. Coffee lovers can try Khamrah Qahwa with coffee and cardamom, while Khamrah Dukhan ("dukhan" means smoke) is the smokier, woodier version.

Yara: the favourite for women

Lattafa Yara is soft, creamy and sweet: orchid, heliotrope and tangerine up top, tropical fruit in the heart, and vanilla, musk and sandalwood at the base. It also comes in 10 ml, handy for trying or for your bag. The family now includes Yara Moi, Yara Tous, Yara Candy and Yara Elixir, and the Yara Collection of Miniatures lets you meet them all.

Asad: bold and spicy for men

Lattafa Asad ("asad" means lion) opens with black pepper, pineapple and tobacco, has a heart of coffee, patchouli and iris, and a base of vanilla, amber and dry woods. Strong and warm, it is best in the evening. Newer takes are Asad Elixir and Asad Bourbon.

Oud Mood and the oud scents

If you want to meet oud without it feeling heavy, Lattafa Oud Mood balances it with spice and florals, and it also comes in 30 ml. For a more resinous, woody character try Opulent Oud and Teriaq.

Ana Abiyedh: for musk lovers

The name means "I am white", which sums up its style: Lattafa Ana Abiyedh is softer and cleaner than the rest, with musk, florals and woods. A good pick for the office or for anyone who does not want something very sweet.

Which Lattafa suits you

  • You love sweet, gourmand scents: Khamrah, Khamrah Qahwa, Yara, Yara Candy.
  • You want something spicy and strong: Asad, Asad Elixir, Khamrah Dukhan.
  • You are curious about oud: Oud Mood, Opulent Oud, Teriaq.
  • You prefer something gentler for every day: Ana Abiyedh, Yara Moi.
  • You want to try before buying 100 ml: Yara 10 ml, Oud Mood 30 ml, Emarati Antique 20 ml or our perfume samples.

Tips for wearing Lattafa

  1. Start with a few sprays. Most are strong. Two sprays on the pulse points are enough, especially indoors.
  2. Give it time. The first impression changes after 15–30 minutes, once the heart and base notes come through.
  3. Choose by season. Sweet and woody scents shine in winter. For more ideas see our winter perfumes guide.
